47 year old gas station owner tied 105 large helium balloons to a chair and flew about 193 miles before landing in a famers field near Union. This is to show that it is possible to fly and be lifted by Helium Balloons (but it takes a lot of Helium to lift a person and become air born.) In 1982 Larry Walters also was seen flying in a flying chair with Balloons to carry him about 3 miles above Los Angeles California. Larry Walters was seen by an airline pilot that called the control tower to tell them what he saw. It was not so funny when Larry Walters later got a fine of $1,500.00 for violating air traffic rules. |
