If there are liberals in the USA or true Democratic
Parties in the USA known as the Denton Democratic Party. They are one of the
Democratic Parties in Texas (sounds funny eh. well believe me I was happy to go
paint with them.) This was also a Blues Festival yes one of the Blues Festivals
in Denton Texas. (I am from Kansas City Missouri so I will not say much on the
music there grin.) This was one of the Denton Music Festivals in 2007. I can
however say that these people found my page and did not run scared grin. In fact
they were all so very nice and it was a pleasure to be invited and get to do the
free painting. At first there were not many kids or people at the
Denton Texas
blues Festivals stands or tents but, later the Denton Kids Came and even a
family from Florida that just moved there. In no time at all there was a line
waiting for the worlds slowest face
painter that Europe calls Leigh grin. Yes
the US Kids loved the face painting and even the parents were lots of fun and
very cool. I wish that I had
posted this on my page way ahead of time to see how many kids I could get to the
festival for free face painting but, as usual I was very busy with face painting
events prior and webpages etc. I even ended up staying after the
Denton
Democratic Party packed up because I
saw kids that waited in line not yet painted and more kids kept coming. I was so glad I stayed for
them to get paint but, at the end it was getting dark.
Guess who was with me grin. Yep my sweet and
wonderful Swedish husband Martini
took 1 of many flights from Sweden to Germany then Flights from Germany to
Dallas Fort Worth. It was fun having Martini here from Sweden for the face
painting at the Denton Blues Festival. This was in ways something that made it even more
special and fun. Oh, I did not bring the big brush for she was at home sleeping
or sitting around waiting for her dinner grin. We all know the big brush is
Zola my cat.
I am not one of the Denton face painter or dallas face painters that people hire
and get just fast sloppy faces. I painted unique faces and made it more art than
side show. The cats and puppy
dog paintings were all like abstract and more detailed so they faded in the
face. There was on very small boy that ended
up being one of my last face paintings for the day. I wish it was not so dark when I painted his
face but, I was happy I got a chance to be his first
face painter. I am 100% sure that was his first
face painting ever. Music Festivals and
Outdoor events in the summer are always fun for kids and me too. As I was trying fast to do paintings I seem to have
missed a few things that would have made me smile even more. At times when i am
painting I only see the kids or people I am painting and those in the area
around us.
There was a very tiny girl
with a very pale face that I so badly wanted to do a great paint on but, when I
was done it was not as good as I wanted. I never like my own paintings of course
but, her face was very unusual and I hope one day that I can paint her again to
try for one of my more detailed works. Her older sister was there also and
seemed to just want text as paint. I wonder if it was because the line or maybe
she was just getting painted to make her little sister happy. I was shocked when
I got home and my husband told me that their father had tipped me 5.00. Wow was
that sweet. His kids seemed so well behaved and very polite. Then a lady gave me
a few dollars for a tip and it seemed there was a tip jar going. I always try
telling people they do not need to tip and I have no tip jar but, it seems that
day they made one for me in ways. I found a few other people had given me tips
as well. Though I was already paid by the Denton Democratic Party to be their
Denton Face Painter that day it seemed I made out with enough money in tips to
pay for the gas there and back. I drove from Carrollton Texas to Denton. At the
time gas is not so cheap thanks to George Bush and his reign of terror upon the
middle east and whom knows how far it will spread. Carrollton is not so far but,
it was the idea of people giving money to me for doing something I was hired to
do and already paid for. I love painting and you can make money painting as a
face painter. Most dallas face painters and body painters I have seen are not
very good so there is not much competition on it. Most face painters in dallas
and through out the usa seem to use companies to market and book them *like
party pimps or middle men making money for setting up appointments and
marketing.* I do all that myself so can charge less yet still hiring face
painters is never cheap.
There were a few girls that seemed to have made
friends with each other at the Denton Party or
Denton Blues Festival as they were watching me
paint and waiting for their turn to be face painted. I was
pretty wrapped up in paint and the time. I remember one girl that was one of the
first or near the start of the paint stayed there a bit near the table to watch
me painting awhile after she had been face painted. To me that was fun and felt nice that they wanted to hang around after
the paint and watch me do more face painting. One of the girls in Denton at the
Denton Party said she knew by the way I
painted that no matter what the kids asked for each face was going to be different
versions of that than they had seen before. She seemed to love my face paintings
and said I was a one of the best painters she ever saw. That made me feel very
special. I did close to the style and colors they wanted but, since all kids and
people have very unique faces they all ended up original and very cool I hope. I
always leave thinking that I wish I did better on each face I paint at parties
or events but, everyone always seems very happy with the paintings.
I do not know why I worry so much about it but, to me
facepaint is more like art and artwork than a party thing. It is something that
I maybe take a bit too much to heart. I know most kids are happy with normal
face painters or simple
face paintings but, I am not happy if I do something
simple that kids or parents can do themselves. I like to give everyone the best
face painting and also give them fun experiences that they will remember for
years to come. I want to make the kids smile more than once or twice. I want them to
really think wow. My husband is sweet and always loved my paintings and such
but, I never am happy with the results of any of my paintings being art on
canvas or face and body painting. I always wish I could paint like my mother. My
mothers the worlds best painter and a real artist. Fans and friends that call me
an artist would really love the art my mother does. My moms the most amazing
painter I have ever seen and ever will see. My moms like the highlander of
paintings and artwork for There Can Be Only One grin. My mom does not face paint
or body paint but, she is a true artist on paintings and canvas. I do paintings
as wall are myself but sure not anything I feel is art or near as good as my
mom. I guess we all wish in
life we could give more or do better at things than we can. Maybe one day I will
do something special. I hope so. There we have it. I gave an art review or party
review on the Blues Festival in Denton Texas 2007. I wonder if the kid remember
me and if any kids from Denton Texas Schools, Dallas Events, Plano or any texas
events I was the face painter for happen to find my websites or remember the
site names.
I must say that there were a few boys that
waited at the end of the line and that means alot to me. Wow to me that was a feeling that made me go
home with something very special to remember about Denton Kids and Family Fun. I
am not sure but, I think their brother was the one waiting on the bench. When I
am hired as a face painter at events I seem to have the longest face painting
line from the start and the most people painted in that time. I paint fast and
well yet, the better you paint the more people that want painted so when you
have a line it is never ending. Kids and adults come to get painted as you
finish the ones in line your lines get even longer grin. Some people also come
just to watch you painting which is nice too for the companies and people that
hire you have then a very cool way of marketing and getting themselves seen with
you drawing people in to their areas or tables etc.
It was
dark out and my husband held a flash light for me to see. The
Denton Democratic
Party left and I remained painting after the tents were down. If I could have
seen better we may have stayed until they kicked me out grin. As soon as the table was gone and I did all the
face painting on adults and kids that were there prior I had to start sending
new people away and pack up to go. It seems it was not long before more people found me. grin. They
said they were looking for the face
painter at the Blues Concert. Well European
friends and Middle Eastern friends or far away friends I wanted to share this
with you also. Some people here dig me and my paintings as much or almost as
much as you people far in location and nearest to my heart. This was not my first live
event or party for kids fun stuff in Texas since I had been hired for thousands
of face paintings and events prior but, this was just one I felt to write on via
my homepage. This was a fun music festival and I was hired by people that will
try to help get the mass murder we call george bush out of power so, hey can not
go wrong with that style and type of paint party eh. There we have it. I have
more scheduled and will schedule fun kids events as often as I can up until I
leave for places of more peace. I am hoping with all my heart to make it out of
the usa for life in peace via european peace an freedom but, nothing that
amazing ever comes easy so, we will see. I avoid speaking my mind and facts on
things much. I avoid going out unless it is to paint and work etc. I try to stay
safe so nothing can force me again to be trapped in america.
It is nice when people hire face painters
that like painting for if you ask me it makes it more fun for kids and crowds as
well as the painter. Though there is money in face painting for people that put
themselves up for hire as dallas face painters or usa face painters etc that
does not mean it is easy to market face painting. It took me awhile to get the
americans past the point of being scared of my paintings and thinking it was too
detailed to then hiring me for face painting events. I still add my art as face
art on pages but, near the time I started letting people hire me for paint
parties I had to take the art on the site and semi hide it to make room for more
lame or mainstream stuff like easy paintings I put more into than most painters.
You can do silly side show paintings like cats and dogs, tigers, monsters etc
but, you can make them good also. I wanted to go there to help the Democratic
Party get seen. I hope I did not take all the attention away for their cause for
I hope for a world with less war for no reason and so badly I hope to have lives
saved on both ends. Oh and I do dig tunes of course. I love music as we know.

This article is like a face painters review
on a dallas school event. I know most people post art reviews and face painter
reviews as in what people say about them but, with me it is always something
different and more fun. Ask anyone that saw me painting or hired me and was
painted by me etc. They will tell you they loved it but, I do not do commercial
sites or commercials for myself in such ways. Everyone has loved the paintings I
do and I thank them for being part of the fun but, honestly at a point I has
become many people calling to book me and most of the time I am booked up for
face painting parties. I need not do face painter ads for I am probably the most
booked face painter in dallas texas, denton, carrollton, and dallas fort worth
areas etc.
Denton Texas 2007 *Hire Face painters for
parties for as the article shows they have as much fun as the kids and people
like to make money doing what they like or love to do.* Hire professional
painters not party pimp companies for every individual is willing to and able to
do more and better than those that only do for companies to profit. I am all
about the little man not the middle man grin.
